THE COMMANDMENT OF THE CROSS

[Intro] (Gentle piano melody, warm acoustic guitar, C Major)
[Verse 1]
Of all the laws in this world wide,
He shortened them to be our guide.
Love the Lord with all your might,
And love your neighbor day and night.
Forgive your foes, show them the way,
Turn dark of heart to brightest day.
[Chorus]
(Uplifting, adding strings)
This is the core of Christ's decree,
A compass for eternity.
With love, humility, and grace,
Trust in the Father, seek His face.
[Verse 2]
When your right hand gives to the poor,
Let not your left hand know for sure.
Do not boast of good you’ve done,
Find joy in secret, seen by none.
Pray in your room, behind closed doors,
The Father sees and blesses yours.
[Chorus]
This is the core of Christ's decree,
A compass for eternity.
With love, humility, and grace,
Trust in the Father, seek His face.
 [Verse 3]
(Softer, reflective piano)
If sorrow lingers in your mind,
With brothers, sisters, peace untwined,
Leave your offering at the shrine,
Go make things right, in love divine.
Then come together, heart and soul,
The Lord will hear and make you whole.
[Chorus]
This is the core of Christ's decree,
A compass for eternity.
With love, humility, and grace,
Trust in the Father, seek His face.
[Verse 4]
Do not worry for earthly things,
Look at the birds on open wings.
See the flowers blooming free,
The Father feeds them tenderly.
Seek Him first, the Heavenly One,
Each day has trouble of its own.
[Chorus]
This is the core of Christ's decree,
A compass for eternity.
With love, humility, and grace,
Trust in the Father, seek His face.
[Verse 5]
(Building tension, powerful)
Blessed are the poor in heart,
Though trials come, they will not start.
Those who hunger for His right,
The meek who walk within His light.
Persecuted for the good they do,
Heaven's reward is waiting you.
[Bridge]
(Epic Climax, full band, emotional vocals)
Do not just hear and walk away,
But live His words out day by day.
Transform your life, let actions show,
Pure and blameless as you go.
Follow His steps, in all you do,
Let Jesus' path enlighten you...
[Chorus]
(Grand, powerful worship finale)
This is the core of Christ's decree,
A compass for eternity.
With love, humility, and grace,
Trust in the Father, seek His face.
[Outro]
(Slowing down, fading out, peaceful piano)
Trust in the Father... evermore...
[End]
